Also, Wicker , Bailey's is great. It is. Since you like white russians I assume you've had one with Baileys? I've had it in a coffee before and that was lovely. Pretty much the only time I liked a drink of coffee. Also, this thread reminds me of a blackberry wine someone I worked with made and that was really nice.

Hot sake is a-m-a-z-i-n-g, I love its... Smoky taste? I really don't know how to describe it, but it's quite gentle and mellow, it's sheer bliss on cold days.
Oh! I've heard of that, seems interesting. What's the way to heat it up? In a pan or something else? I usually put it inside a metal cup, as to not risk shattering it. Then I put that cup inside a larger recipient, I boil some water aside, and then I add that boiling water to that recipient for about 5 to 10 minutes. Nothing fancy, really, but it makes it taste so much softer.
I advise against heating up any alcoholic beverage with a cooker, it is awfully dangerous. Alcohol is flammable.

That's what I was unsure about, the direct heating. The double boiler-y setup makes way more sense, I'll try it sometime!

Squid If you want a way to heat an alcoholic drink that's safe, you could always try a slow cooker, or a hob on the lowest setting. Another way, sort of like Pagu said, is to put a container in a container, and heat it that way, as if you were melting chocolate. Of course, you heat it too much and the alcohol will burn off (hence why no one has ever gotten drunk off my pasta sauces )

my fav beer seems to be discontinued but Moosehead used to have a grapefruit radler that was the only beer I've ever really *craved*, it was amazing. most wheat/citrus beers are fine, I like a fruited sour once in a while, but I usually go for cider these days when I can. not big on hard liquor but I won't say no to a well made margarita or a rum & coke
