i honestly dont drink a whole lot these days, i got most of my heavy/stupid drinking out of my system through high school and early college
because of that i dont drink a lot of straight liquor because it tends to taste like bad decisions and heartburn. i will however drink most mixed drinks. when in doubt, a margaritas got me, unless of course im no longer in texas..i ordered some on a road trip north in various states and learned they are not made with love up there

I had a lemon tart cocktail last night that’s probably a new favorite for me! Normally just stick to a nice pear cider though.

I'm a bit surprised how few people have brought up beer. Not bad, just surprised.

xroshtag i have neverrrr enjoyed beer, though i have definitely tried. when i was younger mixed drinks seemed more stigmatized, though that may have just been my environment and social circles. for example my dad used to go for beer because that was more socially acceptable, now he'll order that fruity drink without hesitation. i wonder if thats a larger trend

I haven't had the chance to drink too much (I live with people who can't drink for one reason or another, and prefer not to drink/be drunk in front of them out of respect) but I really enjoy a red wine. I'm not too knowledgeable on wine types, though, I just choose whichever bottle speaks to me in the moment. Hasn't lead me wrong yet (if you don't count the novelty Red Velvet wine I tried on my 21st. Nasty stuff.) I absolutely hate Sake thought </3 tastes too much like cough syrup to me. OH I do enjoy those little bourbon shots you can put in coffee. Big fan of those. I wanna try Fireball and also White Claw mango flavor. I know they're both rather elementary but I wanna try them so bad :'3

Screwdrivers if I want to go into party mode fast, margaritas if I'm feeling indulgent and drinking with the gals 🧡
I've been wanting to try Gatorwine though. We don't normally keep wine around the house...

xroshtag Tbh I don't like beer but I get a case of lone star lights every so often because sometimes after work I just sit outside and drink a cheap beer. Do I enjoy it ? No it tastes horrible. Do I like the feeling of a cheap beer after a long day ? Yes I rarely have more than 2 beers in a day though, even socially

also in the camp of not drinking too often outside of like, checking out breweries w/ friends every so often. i am an insane person and kinda like the taste of beer, nordeast or grainbelt premium is my go-to for smth to have at home.
Sometimes ill throw together some concoction, idk if it has a name but my fav so far is oj, vodka of some sort, sprite, and maraschino cherry juice. tastey even without the alcohol :9

I'm a bit surprised how few people have brought up beer. Not bad, just surprised. People who 'don't like beer' usually just mean they don't like lager. Which I totally understand, because that fizzy nonsense doesn't appeal to me either. If any of you ever come to my neck of the woods I'm sure I could find a nice ale, stout, or porter, that'd change your view. I'm not even sure if ale is something that you even get in America, or even really outside the UK. But on the subject of wine, and with it heading towards that time of the year, I should stock up on some nice local mulled wines. Yum yum! And to the people that drunk like a fish at the parties, then stopped, you can always walk my road and go from drinking like a teenager to drinking like an old man. All I need now is a pipe (for tobacco) and I'll be fully Tolkien'd. Also, do any of you have Bailey's Irish Cream in your countries? Lovely stuff.

Likewise I rarely drink, but I thoroughly enjoy a good mudslide or white russian! My favorite, though that's also not saying much with how few alcoholic drinks I even like at all. I do really like it though, makes for a great treat every once and a while. Also, Wicker , Bailey's is great.

I'm a bit surprised how few people have brought up beer. Not bad, just surprised. I'm an enjoyer of weissbier. Like drinking a loaf of bread. Also kind of a relief from all the sweet stuff I used to drink, ciders, etc
Also, I use shaoxing wine for cooking but it's surprisingly nice on its own. Maybe it's a weird taste for some because it's a bit savory, but I'm the kind of person who drinks soy sauce so of course I like it. Sake is also pretty nice.

I'm a bit surprised how few people have brought up beer. Not bad, just surprised. I seldom drink beer nowadays, though I do love the refreshing feeling of a cold malt beer after working out too much, specially when the day is awfully hot. When I'm travelling, I also enjoy drinking some craft beer every now and again, but I do like them either sweet or strong, black and malty. Once I had a pumpkin one that was quite unlike anything else I'd ever tried, really good. Unfortunately I don't really come across a lot of those in Brazil, as pale beer (mostly pilsner and indian pale ale) reigns supreme here... And I find their taste despicable x_x

Hot sake is a-m-a-z-i-n-g, I love its... Smoky taste? I really don't know how to describe it, but it's quite gentle and mellow, it's sheer bliss on cold days.

Oh! I've heard of that, seems interesting. What's the way to heat it up? In a pan or something else?
