I'm new to participating in the fandom, been on the edges for a while and making art that would be considered furry since around 2019 but only recently started considering myself a furry.
I'm VERY excited for FWA. I stay at a friend's house for Anthrocon and I live in Chicago so FWA will be my first full on hotel con experience. I've heard really good things about the hotel setup at FWA. Also never been to Atlanta so I'm excited to check out the city!

For furry conventions, I've only ever been to one, but I've traveled for fighting game events pretty regularly over the last few years. It's not too dissimilar an experience, just with more people playing video games all over the place.

Mostly I've stuck to stuff in the southeastern US, since that's where I currently live and it's far cheaper to carpool than to fly, but both Combo Breaker and Frosty Faustings were most definitely worth the flight. Frostys was my first experience with a convention after my FWA experience was retroactively tainted (long story, not gonna talk about it), and it was a great way of replacing those poisoned memories.

Only MFF so far ;; and Iβll be there again this year! I think Iβve gone every year since 2014 except for β¦ I think 2021 and 2022?? I actually forget if they had one in 2021, but I know I missed whichever one was post-Covid. So want to branch out and visit some other cons in the future though, should time and money allow eeee

Attended: MegaCon 2023, Megaplex 2024 Plan to Attend: Megaplex 2025 Want to Attend: Anthrocon, Anthro Northwest, Midwest Furfest, maybe an international one (?) Anthro Nortwest is there mainly because I am considering moving to WA one day so that one would become my local convention and I'd love to go to it.
EDIT: Forgot to include MegaCon 2023 as my first convention in general. While I enjoyed my time, I was not a fan of the rush and packed nature of it to do stuff and get my money's worth. Once I did Megaplex 2024, it solidified that I'd much rather do furry conventions lol.

currently I've only gone to Tails and Tornadoes Furcon in 2021 (or was it 2022? I don't remember)
Gonna be heading to AnEx 2025 tho!! Unsure about which ones after that since so many of them are so far away but might drop by TFFC again soon
