your image link is broken! you can't hotlink from FA, it'll look right in the preview but not work for anyone else. gotta upload it somewhere else on an image hosting site WAH. Thanks for pointing that out! I'll have to fix that later cause no joke I need to go to work really soon. But for now, if people are curious I do have my FA on my linktree but I promise I'll fix it lol Aaaaaaand hopefully it should be fixed now ;-; I have never used a forum like this before lol but I do like the learning experience here

i used to have a lobster sona a few years back, i'd be hard pressed to find any details about him since i've changed computers in that time and i have a bad memory, this is pretty much the only art of him i have that didn't corrupt terribly during the many file transfers lol YOOO a lobster that's so cool! Yooo I think this is the first time I ever see a lobster sona! So cool!!!

A lot of the artists I've commissioned have said that they've never drawn a beaver before, or that they're looking forward to drawing a capybara.

I don't have any "unique species" of my own, but I've seen some over the years! Some notable ones that come to mind are sloths, goldfish, sharks, orcas, snails, insects of any kind (moths are probably the most popular), etc.

Years and years ago, I selected a Sugar Glider as a 'sona. Since then, I have only seen one other glider. Someday our numbers will rise!

i love love love seeing unique and especially nonmammalian sonas..... browsin through this thread has been a real pleasure
my most "common" sona species is still pretty common... at least it's probably one of if not the most common in its group. as someone said above, raptors seem to be top common kinds of dino sonas, even though dino sonas overall aren't that common i don't think. my main sona is a raptor
my second most common sona species is a pigeon. i haven't designed this one yet, but it'll be intended as a truesona
my third & fourth & poke sonas are probably pretty equally uncommon: gorgonopsid, ringneck pheasant, and archen One of my favorite sonas I have is Jerzii my Jersey Devil. But he isn't the only cryptid oc I have. BROOOOOOOO the jersey devil is my favorite cryptid. thats SO COOL

Cryptids are so blorbo to me i used to be super way into cryptids. now i'm mostly just a huge jersey devil (not the sports team) fan, and i do like me some good mothman merch/art/etc. i must admit i am not sure i know what the ozark howler is (but i am googling it so fast)... it's been a while since i've seen anything about the lesser-known ones.

My interpretation of it or favorite depiction is a quadrepedal bear monster with goat horns and imp tail. The character is Roxanne an adopt I bought from FurBakery with no actual species attached to her, but I thought it fit and just went with it.

My fursona is a fictional, genetically engineered chimeric species called amphimorpho, from the webcomic Meet Me in the Woods. Certainly uncommon, there seems to only be a couple dozen folks on earth with one as a fursona, with a few more as OCs. Lately I've been spending time TF'd into a yinglet, which are also fictional and also from a webcomic, but generally a lot more numerous. Aw, cutest chimera ever!

I have a Fossa as an alternate sona! I need to get some artwork of him someday, so far, he has just been used here and again in the occasional RP.
Ferocious, strong, short-tempered and superstitious, but deeply loyal and kindhearted is the goofy, also somewhat derpy Fossa.
He has no name, and further, he thinks Fossas don't need names. He is very, very stubborn and bossy!
(kind of my alter-ego)
