I'm Railyn and man it feels kinda weird doing forum stuff again. I was a very different person when I was on forums the first time.
I'm a bit of a drifter, generally speaking. I play a lot of video games, listen to a lot of music, and generally just shop around interests until something grabs hold of me, whereupon I fixate on that specific thing for a few weeks or months before going back to drifting.
I've done a bit of abstract art not too long ago, and I'm trying to get back into it, along with trying to convince myself to practice more art in general. I've been writing fanfiction over the last few months as well; right now I'm primarily working on a Pokemon self-insert called This Weightless Fall.
I'm always down to talk in-depth about my latest interests. I spend a lot of time analyzing art and stories, and I love talking about the conclusions I reach and the points I notice in whatever I've been checking out. I also love making recommendations for people, whether it's books, music, video games, or whatever else. I think it's really fun to go through my mental catalog of Stuff I've Seen and try to match people with things they may not have considered getting into. |

Welcoooome!!! Im really hoping this forum stays active, Im digging the vibes so far 🐺 Has there been any music youve liked especially, recently?? Music is one of my biggest hobbies, at least listening to music pff. It's a very strong comfort and one of the few things that still sparks that creative energy I miss from my younger years, so I love to hear new stuff or stuff people recommend!! For recent album releases, I've been super into Yesterwynde by Nightwish, Les Chants de l'Aurore by Alcest, and Phantoma by Unleash the Archers. I also listen to a lot of video game OSTs; you can find a lot of really interesting and evocative stuff in there. Frozen Cortex, Warhammer 40K Darktide, Nine Sols, and Rivals of Aether 2 are some of the ones I've been jamming to lately.
I completely get it sparking creative energy. That's a lot of why I spend so much time with music myself.
