However, I owned the game as part of the Orange Box for PS3, and while my PS3 works fine and well and sits just behind me as I type, I'd much prefer just playing on the PC since it's my hub, so to speak.
Thanks for the heads up!

Completely understandable! Owning retro stuff is cool as hell, but sometimes comfiness has to be prioritized haha. Half Life has to be one of my favourite games ever, I don't know how many times I've finished it ever since I bought it years ago.
And no problemo <3 Hope you get to enjoy the game again!

I love Half-Life, it has a certain... minimalist approach as a game that I really like.
Funnily enough, never got to play the original HL as a kid; the first one I played was HL2 and Ep. 1 and 2, on the before-mentioned Orange Box for PS3. I loved it, but I only got to play Half-Life around 2020, on PC, through the Black Mesa remaster. I started playing the original Blue Shift about a year ago, and was indeed enjoying it, but got sidetracked; I also own Opposing Force, but have yet to actually start it.
