Was curious if anyone here participated or used or even remembered mgchan?
mgchan was a (gay) furry imageboard that initially spawned after Morenatsu threads/generals on 4chan's /vg/ board were effectively banned, around the early to mid 2010s (I wanna say 2014, but it's hazy to me, since these were personally transitive years).
mgchan was focused on discussion of Morenatsu, but also had threads and boards focusing on other gay furry VNs and/or projects, along with porn, doujins and comics, etc. Some of the EchoProject members used to post on mgchan, along with the writer for Blackgate (Bane, I believe). When they posted would have been the very first iteration of those projects we know so well today (Echo, Adastra).
A little piece of furry history.

Never heard of it but I've always felt that the image board format was actually a fantastic idea, unfortunately tainted by poorly moderated sites causing a bad reputation for the whole medium. Aside from that, its really cool to see old furry stuff from before I would have been aware of the fandom or even alive at that rate.

unfortunately tainted by poorly moderated sites causing a bad reputation for the whole medium. This may be the more controversial thing out of me but furries in general have been too quick to discard the imageboard format, and it's sad. As it is, u18chan is in its death throes, yet I see many furries celebrating that.
