"Legend says, hundreds of thousands of years before our time, the Sun and Moon gods created TROPOSPHERE, the land where all canines and all felines live together. . ."
"Well, that's what legend says, anyway. The two gods used to work together, to bring night and day to all. Magic flowed through the inhabitants of the Troposphere and there was harmony. Nowadays, there is great contention across the land about who really created the Troposphere.
107 years ago, after many years of war, and great enmity amongst its inhabitants, the Troposphere suddenly split into two. . . the forested lakeland of the 'Heavenly Body,' a dangerous jungle stuck in an eternal night... and the endless canyon of the 'Divine Star,' a rocky maze of rushing water rapids and risky climbs, cursed to be forever day.
Canine and Feline were split; the believers in the Moon God banished to The Land of The Heavenly Body, and the believers in the Sun God to The Land of The Divine Star. The Tropospherians were stripped of all magic and harmony was lost.
It's been many years since then, and despite many attempts, no one has been able to cross "The Gap;" a mysterious cavern splitting the two lands apart, with sinister, dark magic spewing from within. Those who enter, never make it back. It is forbidden to enter, and forbidden to leave.
But something is brewing. . . Something twisted. And it all links back to The Gap."

HINTS:
- Your canine or feline character can be ANY species currently alive under the family Felidae or Canidae.
- Canines and Felines can be a part of either clan. The clans are not separated by species.
- Your character can question the existence of the Moon and Sun gods, but may not believe in the god of the opposing faction. It's for the sake of the story!
- Feel free to have fun giving your characters unnatural features or accessories. This thread aims to mimic roleplays you might have participated in when you were younger online. The only rule on character features is that characters with wings should not be able to fly - gliding or flying very short distances ok.

- have fun making the world your own, just try to stay within the general guidelines ive set. remember; there is a dangerous barrier between each clans sides, so interaction between the two is hard... for now. ill try to update with events if the roleplay form grows at all. otherwise have fun interacting with other users and making your character!
- the 'religions' are very loose. bi annually there is a festival celebrating each clans respective god that most citizens are expected to participate in. its an event with lots of food, games, and general commune, similar to christmas in that it can be 'religion' centric for some in the clans, but for others is just a nice day to have fun and be with loved ones. sacrifices - constituting of fine cooked meals - are buried or burned. there are general principles of knowledge, community, and strength. more religious clan members might dedicate themselves to one of these principles. other clan members may not care at all.
- the 'Heavenly Body' make camp in the great jungle trees of their land, seeking protection from danger and flooding below. the 'Divine Star' call cave systems in their caverns home, looking for respite from the intense sun and heat
