Tough call but I think You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To by Knocked Loose edges it out for me this year. Unless something just absolutely mind blowing comes down the pike.
Alternatively, my project released an EP called Diminish that I'll humbly say is a banger lol

Alternatively, my project released an EP called Diminish that I'll humbly say is a banger lol YWGBYST is absolutely top ten for me this year - KL continues to get better with every release, it's truly bonkers I think my top album this year has to be '867' by This Is The Glasshouse, even if it just came out last week. I really adored Powerwolf's 'Wake Up the Wicked'  I got to see them live for the album release tour and it was phenomenal! You really can't go wrong with cheesy over the top werewolf-themed metal in my eyes, and Powerwolf does it the best |

as a huge Origami Angel fan, gotta say their new album Feeling Not Found is taking my personal aoty right now and i don't think anything else will touch it. lots of great stuff in my favorite genres dropped this year though; biggest honorable mention to The Home Team's Crucible of Life. super unique rock record

as a huge Origami Angel fan, gotta say their new album Feeling Not Found is taking my personal aoty right now and i don't think anything else will touch it. lots of great stuff in my favorite genres dropped this year though; biggest honorable mention to The Home Team's Crucible of Life. super unique rock record YES YES YES YES okay so 'Feeling Not Found' is tied for my AOTY and I have such a long winded story as to how much that record means to me, but the long-short of it is I ended up in the hospital the day before that record dropped and the entire week I was hospitalized, I listened to it on repeat and just absolutely adored that album because it helped me get through some really tough stuff. LOVE Origami Angel and I think having Will Yip at the board only made them sound so much more technically proficient and I cannot tell you how much I'm glad that other people dig it as much as I did. Also The Home Team are the nicest dudes on the planet and that record RULES |

OA's music means a lot to me in general, and i'm always happy to hear abt other people who feel the same. their last four records have all been masterpieces to me, and feeling not found's title track is one of my favorite songs this year. the guitar work and the interlaced keyboards... and the lyrics... man that tune drives me crazy!
also, yes, THT are super super chill. i got to see them live on the summer school tour earlier this year, and i got a picture with Brian and Ryne, who happily listened to me yap about how much i love Love and Co. haha. their music has always been good, but i think they really hit a stride with crucible. that record goes so hard

In terms of full-length LPs, I'd probably say No Mana - I Contain Flashing Images! Some of my favourite EDM tracks from the year are on here, not to mention the artist also does pixel art and it makes the cover art & visuals look siiiiiiiiiiick!
