rules says "Do not use large images in your signature." enforce a hard limit on filesize + displayed resolution for signature images tentative suggestion: 150px height limit unsure on what max filesize would be... twitter limits to 5mb but it also compresses thumbnails to be smaller than that. edit: avatars are 1mb limit, that seems good for both avatars and signatures

On the subject of sigs, I've noticed that someone has a 'wide' signature (well within normal limits and what people would have had back in the day), but it gets cropped by the edge of the window. If I reduce the size of the rendering to 90% it's fine, but at 100% it's too wide because the central window is a fixed screen percentage (I think?).
I mean, I doubt there's many others out there using a 1366x768 laptop, but it's still weird...

but at 100% it's too wide because the central window is a fixed screen percentage (I think?). It is, yeah. The body of the forum is always 50% of the screen width, regardless of how wide or narrow the screen is, making it look kinda janky at both extremes. If that's possible to change it'd be nicer to have it be something like width: 90%; max-width: 768px; or some other maximum that looks good.

And I think maybe seeing how people respond to something like 75% might be a good middle ground?

I see what you guys are saying, I'm gonna look into this right now. Sorry I didn't realize such a big thing was having issues. I'll mess around with it a bit!
