the real meat of a forum is the eye watering level of subforums with endless user created megathreads that people can engage in so people can argue about their hobbies and interests. i think we should have additional subforums
heres some subforums with examples of megathreads that i totally don't plan on making but would hypothetically exist in these places:
Gaming and Media being seperated into seperate subforums. (a webfishing megathread for all two months that'll remain relevant, a megathread for the GOAT team fortress 2, vr chat megathread, etc etc)
- DIY and Hobbies (megathreads about sports, cooking, firearms, model railroading, airsoft, lego, sinkpissing, reading, book swapping, other cosplay etc etc etc etc)
- Shitposting subforum with a witty name where low effort megathreads can be made (funny pics thread, unpopular opinion thread, cute animal pic thread, funny out of context yt thumbnail thread, funny internet comments thread, etc)
that way we can foster a community of posters who frequently post in various megathreads and yap at each other, as us old farts in the olden days did

We don't have a conventions subsection? I feel like we should have a conventions subsection. I agree! It could function as a place to host threads about upcoming conventions, maybe it can have a megathread or something filled with tips to help anyone wanting to attend one, new or veteran alike. It would be nice to have a centralized place unlike having posts be scattered all over through one or more social platforms. |
