Well, this is exciting! Bless the creator of this site. I'm hopeful that going back to early forum practices will help soothe the depressive mess that's become of social media these days, particularly Twitter and its ugliness.
My name's Juniper, and I'm a Ph.D. scholar of English and Media Studies with emphases in Queer Theory, Fan Studies, and Speculative Fiction. I graduated in June of this year, with my dissertation actually looking at furry's numerous print forms and genres as evoking fandom as more contradictory, heterogeneous, and layered than what scholars and dominant culture tend to let on. Currently I teach a science fiction course to undergrad students in Los Angeles, but I'm hoping to get picked up for new work once the new year hits (anyone know of any leads, by chance?).
Work wise, I don't have a lot published besides the dissertation and a book review of the late Fred Patten's Furry Fan Conventions title. I predominantly do a lot of public speaking and humanities work at conventions and conferences, and online panels and forums have been fun as well.
Don't be a stranger! Feel free to poke me or reach out via comment.
Best, June, the Pig

Hey there! I'm a fan of uncommon sona species and I'm happy to see not everyone's a canid here! (Though I admit of being guilty of having a dog-looking toon main character so I guess I'm part of the problem...)
Your career sounds extremely interesting! I hope to hear some experiences of yours on the field and some convention panel stories, those are always very entertaining :3
